Triumph Roadster brakes

By Chris McPheat, Jul 12 2019 05:29PM

With the Triumph Roadster jacked up and the wheels off it was clear that all corners needed work. The drums will be skimmed as that has not been done yet and the "new" shoes need re-lining as they are impregnated with brake fluid. I had the cups to rebuild the front cylinders but will get some in for the rear. I also looked into the fuel system and found the pump/filter to be totally choked with stale fuel, this modern unleaded goes off so quickly. The tank has been drained and fuel pump and carburettor cleaned out and checked so all should be ok with some fresh gas. Unfortunately I found that the oil pressure gauge pipe fitting in the block was not there so have sourced some parts to hook this up, can't start it with a hole in the lubrication system.
