Now offered for sale this beautiful fabric bodied Hooper saloon is in remarkably original condition. I bought this car for a customer in 2013, before which it had been stored since 1995. First sold to Sir Bruce Thomas in December 1928. The second owner was Shane Chichester, Rolls-Royce test engineer from the inter war years, who's family kept it until the mid 1970s. Since it has been in my workshop it has been thoroughly checked over in readiness for a return to the road. The sump and crankshaft have been cleaned out, all brakes and hubs checked, new tyres and tubes fitted. The interior leather is wonderfully patinated yet still supple and without tears. The dash and steering wheel are in near prefect condition, unmarked and unmolested. It was the new owner's intention to tour the car widely but ill health has put a stop to those dreams and now this opportunity could be yours. There is a wheel brace and hammer but the small tools must have been removed from the car during it's time in storage. A three case trunk is included in the sale, also in Oily Rag condition but without the straps to attach it to the rear rack.
