This most interesting Tatra 603-3 saloon is a rare sight on UK roads and represents an excellent opportunity to get behind the wheel of one of these amazing cars. This one has spent the last 20 years parked in an underground car park in London, I bought it for a customer who was building a small collection of Tatras. He sadly passed away last year and since then I have been finishing off some of the jobs I started doing for him. These are now complete and it's now time for someone else to take on the responsibility. The brakes have new discs, pads and clips all round, rebuilt calipers, new hoses, rebuilt master cylinder and rebuilt brake booster. The clutch hydraulics have also been rebuilt. The 2.5 litre air-cooled V8 engine starts easily and runs smooth. The bodywork, whilst being far from perfect, actually presents really well, as does most of the brightwork (the window surround chrome trim and the passenger door quarter-light are not so good). The interior is in excellent condition with unmarked seats and dash top and worn but complete rubber mats. All the electrics work but I've not done anything with the petrol driven heater mounted under the front seat. 5 new Firestone tyres have been fitted with fresh tubes and Dyna-beads dynamic balancing to freshly sand-blasted and painted wheels. For an MoT certificate it will need some welding around the front suspension but none elsewhere.
